Thank you for buying a Zangore sewing pattern. This License explains how you may use the pattern files and what you may do with the items you make. By buying or downloading a Zangore pattern, you agree to this License and to our Terms of Service.
1. What you receive
When you buy a pattern, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the pattern files for the purposes listed below. You do not buy the copyright. Zangore keeps all rights to the patterns, instructions, images, text and logos.
2. What you can do
- Download and keep the files for your own use.
- Print the pattern as many times as you need for yourself, for example to reprint a damaged page or to cut another size. You may also use a print shop to print your copy.
- Make as many items as you like from the pattern for yourself, your family and as gifts.
- Sell the finished items you sew yourself, online or in person, for example at craft fairs, in an Etsy shop or on social media.
- Share photos of the items you make, including on social media. We would love to see them. Tagging Zangore is kind, but it is not required.
3. What you cannot do
- Share, give away, sell, trade, lend, upload or distribute the pattern files, in whole or in part, whether free or for money. This includes file-sharing sites, cloud folders, social media groups and online marketplaces.
- Sell or share an edited, translated or re-packaged copy of the pattern or instructions, or use any part of them to make your own pattern to sell or share.
- Claim the pattern, instructions or images as your own work.
- Use our listing images, photos, mockups, text or logo to sell your own products or patterns. Please use your own photos of the items you make.
- Sell the pattern files as part of a bundle, kit, course or membership.
- Use the pattern for mass or factory production, or have a factory or third party make large numbers of items for you to sell, unless we have given you written permission.
4. One licence per person
Each licence is for one person or one household. If someone else, such as a friend, a student or a team member, also wants to use the pattern, they need to buy their own copy.
5. Classes, groups and teaching
You may not use our patterns in a class, workshop, sewing group or online course unless every participant has their own licence, or we have given you written permission. If you would like to teach with our patterns, please contact us and we will be happy to talk.
6. Selling your finished items
You are free to sell the items you sew from our patterns. Please remember that you are responsible for the safety, quality and legal rules that apply to the items you sell. This includes rules for children’s products, labelling, taxes and consumer rights in the countries where you sell. We do not take responsibility for items made or sold by others.
7. Ownership
All patterns, instructions, drawings, photographs, text and designs are owned by Zangore and protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in this License transfers ownership to you.
8. Breaking this License
If you break this License, your licence ends straight away and you must stop using the files and delete any copies you have shared. We may take steps to protect our rights, including asking marketplaces and websites to remove shared or copied content, and legal action where needed. A refund is not owed if your licence ends because you broke these rules.
9. Need a different licence?
If you have a special request, such as a business, school, class or larger production licence, please email us at support@zangore.com. We are happy to talk about it.
10. Related policies
